Mission I AM is a social entrepreneurial venture dedicated to building young leaders from the ‘INSIDE OUT’. Our goal is to encourage, empower and instill in our young people, new age leadership concepts and skillsets whilst nudging them towards a world full of hope, purpose and possibility.
Mission I AM is associated & licensed with Adventures in WisdomTM- a Children’s Self Development program accredited by the International Coach Federation Continuing Coach Education Program (ICF-CCE) and utilized successfully by coaches in more than 30 countries across the world. We are also partnered with YOUTHMAX, the youth leadership program from the John Maxwell’s Team.
Mission I AM was established in June 2017 by Meena Gajria Furtado. Meena is a certified NLP practitioner, Trainer & Coach with the John Maxwell Team and a Certified Wisdom Coach with Adventures in WISDOM. She has also been a volunteer with the Growing Leaders Foundation and is a mother to two amazing kids who are the primary inspiration behind this initiative.
The inspiration for Mission I AM was conceived when Meena was looking for child friendly tools to help build confidence and resilience in her kids and empower them with an 'I CAN' growth mindset. The transformation she saw in her own kids made her realize how much children needed to be taught these life-skills when they’re still young so that they grow up on a strong foundation of Self Acceptance. Meena chose to follow her passion for growing and mentoring young people to help them embrace their true-Identity and own their brilliance so they can reach their full potential.
Prior to Coaching, Meena has had a fulfilling career sprawling over 18 years in the field of Retail Banking. Holding numerous high-ranking positions, she has worked in various areas including Client Servicing, E-business & Product Management. She has worked with some of the major banks in the UAE including the region's largest.
Meena takes pride in her ability to connect with kids as they transform into Confident, Resilient, Caring and Responsible individuals. Her personal mission is to ensure all children have the right set of skills, believe in their inner potential and are able to say of themselves,
'I am, I matter, I can & I will'.
Meena is a Board member on the Sabari Indian School, Dubai.
